Summary: Wolf has been traveling and comes to a village. He is very hungry and goes to the farm to find something to eat. All of the animals except a pig, a duck and a cow run away. These three are reading and wolf is upset that they don’t run but just ask him to go be scary and dangerous somewhere else because this is a farm for educated animals. Wolf is frustrated and goes to learn how to read. He comes back when he learns how but they just say he reads too slow and broken up. So he goes to the library and reads until he can read very fast. Then they say he reads too fast and he leaves and learns how to become a good reader. He comes back and reads to them and they are entranced by his reading and the four friends decide to travel around reading stories to people. So they do just that.
Who would you recommend this book to? I would recommend this to any young readers.
Potential problems or conflicts: I don't see any problems or conflicts with this book.
My reaction: This book was cute. It's good book for teaching children about how reading is about storytelling, not just reading the words.
