Summary: In The Naughty Boy there is an old poet sitting in his house. There is a horrible rainstorm outside and a little boy comes and knocks on his door. The little boy is naked and all he has with him is a little bow and arrow that has been ruined in the rain. The poet feels bad for the little boy and invites him in and warms and drys him. The boy starts looking better and begins to dance around and play. The old man is happy and says it's too bad the boys bow is broken. But the boy tells the man it is fixed and shows him by shooting him in the heart. He finds out that the little boy is Cupid and says that he is a naughty boy because he goes around tricking people and then shooting them in the heart with his arrows. And that's just what Cupid continues to do.

Who would you recommend this book to? I would probably recommend more of these for children than any other author's fairy tales. I think a lot of these ones would be okay for kids. I don't know that I would specifically recommend most of them but there are some that I really quite liked and definitely would recommend over others.

Potential problems or conflicts: I would just make sure I read them myself before I read them to my kids to be sure that I think they are age appropriate.

My reaction: I actually liked Andersen's fairy tales better than the others so far. I'm really glad I got the book of his fairy tales because I'll probably read a lot of them to my kids. In general, they seem a little more light-hearted than the others. I liked these ones quite well.
